You don't want to miss a single message from your colleagues on Slack ? Then read this page carefully !

What is it for ?

Sometimes you open Slack and see that your colleagues have sent a lot of messages concerning the new project you're working on.

And it takes you a while to read it.

With the following method you'll receive the messages directly on your phone and you'll be able to follow the discussion step by step without using your computer.

How does it work ?

First you must have a Slack account ( reasonable ! ). You will also need a Pushbullet account which will allow you to receive notifications on your phone.

Then we will use Webhooks to link Slack and your phone. Webhooks will only send automated calls that will be triggered when a specific event occurs on a website. Here, as soon as someone posts a message on Slack, your phone will receive a notification to warn you.

What do you have to do ?

To do that you will need to create a count on Zapier. Zapier moves info between your web apps automatically. Here Zapier will allow you to link Slack and your phone.

STEP 1 : Log in Zapier and Click on "Make a zap"

STEP 2 : Search Slack in the apps proposed

STEP 3 : Click on "New Public Message Posted Anywhere in Slack"

STEP 4 : Choose your Slack account

STEP 5 : Select "No" and click on "Continue"

STEP 6 : Test your trigger. If it functions you will see on your screen:

STEP 7 : Click on "Continue" and you will continue with the Action part. Select "Pushbullet" and select the event "Send a Note".

STEP 8 : Just like your Slack account choose your Pushbullet account.

STEP 9 : Select the action you want and click on "Continue".

STEP 10 : Test your Zap

Congratulations you linked your Slack account and your phone !
